INTERIOR DESIGN PROJECTS IN MALLORCA
Interior design projects in Mallorca
At MAF Studio Interiors we develop projects where design, functionality and strategy work together to transform each space.
Here you can discover a selection of interior design projects in Mallorca that reflect our approach, the quality of execution and the results obtained in each intervention.
Spaces designed to function and add value
Each project begins with a preliminary analysis that defines the objectives, the client's needs, and the potential of the space. From there, we develop solutions that combine design, optimization, and coherence.
We work on different types of projects:
- Comprehensive home renovations
- Partial renovations (kitchens, bathrooms, redistribution)
- Interior design projects
- Lighting design
- Outdoor spaces
- Real estate revaluation
The result is spaces that not only stand out aesthetically, but also improve their use and increase their value.
Project
Mateo Bosch - Port of Andraxt
This project involved the complete renovation of a property that had been closed for almost 30 years. With the aim of updating and adapting the home to current needs and lifestyles, the owners' son led the renovation, as the house had several structural and functional deficiencies.
The project's main requirements included a complete renovation of the house, as well as a redistribution of spaces to optimize functionality. In the center of the house, where the living room had previously been located, we decided to reconfigure the rooms to create a new bedroom with improved ergonomics. Furthermore, we transformed the former living room area into the brightest space in the property, taking advantage of the spectacular views of the port of Andratx.
The renovation also included updating all plumbing and electrical systems, replacing flooring, and updating the kitchen and bathrooms. The laundry room, patio, and rooftop terrace were also renovated, ensuring the property was fully updated and adapted to modern standards.
In addition, work was carried out on the roof and its structure to ensure the long-term stability and durability of the property. These structural improvements were essential to provide the necessary safety and comfort for the home.
This project not only involved an aesthetic renovation, but a comprehensive transformation that turned the house into a modern and functional home, respecting its original essence and adapting it to contemporary standards of comfort and style.

Project
Joans Pons and Marques, 5th - 1st Left
This project involved the complete renovation of a house in Palma, with the aim of adapting it to the evolving needs of the owners and their family. The premise was to transform the space to improve functionality and optimize the use of each area, creating a comfortable, modern, and practical home.
One of the main needs was to incorporate a second bathroom, as well as a shared bedroom that would provide sufficient privacy for all family members. To achieve this, the house was divided into two clearly defined areas: a sleeping area (north area) and a leisure area (south area), creating an organized and balanced environment.
The central idea of the project was to unify spaces and create a functional home, ideal for family life. An open-plan living-dining-kitchen area was designed, filled with natural light, providing a common space for family gatherings. In addition, strategically placed cabinets were incorporated to promote order and organization.
The minimalist and simple style was chosen to adapt the space to everyday needs, providing comfort without sacrificing elegance. This project highlights how a well-thought-out design can transform a home into a welcoming, practical, and harmonious space.

Cala Fornells Project PF3.18
This project involved the complete renovation of an apartment located in the exclusive Cala Fornells area of Palma de Mallorca. The apartment, which includes a living-dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and a terrace with sea views, was completely transformed while preserving its original rustic essence. The challenge lay in modernizing all the installations, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, finishes, and furnishings, without losing the property's authentic and welcoming character. Throughout the renovation process, we ensured the preservation of details that contributed to its rustic charm, while incorporating materials that harmonize with the island's natural surroundings. For the walls, we opted for plaster to give the space a sense of lightness and spaciousness, while wood and stone were selected for the finishes, creating a warm, natural, and Mediterranean-style ambiance. The aim was to give the apartment an Ibizan feel that would blend perfectly with the island character of Palma de Mallorca. The terrace, with its sea views, was carefully transformed, incorporating a piece of natural stone into the flooring, creating a welcoming space to enjoy the views. This project was a perfect combination of renovation and preservation, bringing modernity to the apartment without losing the rustic essence that made it unique, in total harmony with the natural beauty of the surroundings.

Duplex Connection Project PF1.3537
This project involved converting two apartments into a single duplex in the exclusive Cala Fornells area of Palma de Mallorca. The clients already owned a ground-floor apartment and later had the opportunity to purchase the upper floor of the building. The main objective was to connect the two apartments and transform them into a single, functional home, maintaining their rustic character while adapting them to the family's needs. After studying the available options, we decided to connect the two apartments through the ground-floor bathroom, linking them via a closet that opened onto the upstairs living room. To achieve this, we redesigned the ground-floor bathroom, incorporating frosted glass walls to allow natural light in and maximize the feeling of spaciousness. We also integrated a small staircase into this space, fitting perfectly next to a closet and providing a convenient connection between the two levels.
The upstairs bathroom and kitchen were completely renovated, modernizing the fixtures and adapting them to new functional needs. We also worked on the home's decor and some furniture, paying special attention to the property's final appearance, from the paint to the finishes, to ensure everything was perfectly harmonious.
In this project, the aim was to preserve the rustic essence of the house while adapting it to the family's current needs. The combination of traditional elements with a modern and functional design was key to creating a unique, welcoming space, perfect for family enjoyment. This project is a clear example of how a home can be adapted to new needs, maintaining its original charm and personality while giving it a new lease on life.
